This 2-day Murchison Falls safari showcases the best of Murchison Falls National Park. Experience a thrilling boat cruise along the Nile, where you’ll spot wildlife along the riverbanks and be taken to the base of the stunning waterfall. Enjoy ample time to explore the savanna on two game drives, where you may encounter giraffes, elephants, and search for lions. Visit the top of the impressive falls, where the Nile is dramatically compressed. On your journey to the park, you’ll also trek at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, offering a unique opportunity to see the Big Five up close. Here, you’ll have the unforgettable experience of trekking rhinos on foot. Your safari includes rhino trekking, a boat cruise, two game drives, and a visit to the top of the falls, all while staying at a nature-focused lodge near Murchison Falls.

Day 1:

Transfer to Murchison falls NP, Rhino tracking, and evening game drive

You will be picked up by our driver/guide at either your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, depending on your location, to begin your 2-day Murchison Falls safari. On the way, we’ll stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino trekking experience on foot, giving you the chance to see these majestic creatures up close. We will have lunch along the route before continuing the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, we shall drive straight for a sunset game drive where you’ll have the opportunity to spot big cats on the hunt, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and many more species—there are 76 different mammals to watch for with birds inclusive. We’ll explore the game drive circuits and afterwards we proceed and check in at Nile Breeze bamboo village for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:

Morning game drive, Boat cruise, viewing top of the falls and transfer back

In the morning, we’ll check out and head out for a second game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, offering you a final opportunity to spot big cats and the majestic giraffes. After the game drive, we’ll return and embark on a mid-day 2-hour boat ride to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll witness hippos in their pods—grooming and yawning like nowhere else—plus Nile crocodiles, elephants, and an array of stunning bird species along the riverbanks. If you’re an avid birdwatcher, this will be a true highlight. Return for lunch and afterward, we’ll visit the top of Murchison Falls, a spectacular highlight of the safari where you’ll witness a powerful surge of water thundering through a narrow gorge at close range. Following this breathtaking experience, we will leave the park and begin our journey back to Kampala.  Your guide will drop you off as we conclude your 2-day Murchison Falls safari.
